Power outage planned near Ely area
Grand Rapids, MN – Lake Country Power members in the Ely area will be without power starting 9:30 a.m., Wednesday, June 2. The cooperative will be switching a feeder line to the new Winton Substation.
The outage will last less than 5 minutes and will affect members south of Ely along Highway 21 to One Pine Lake. It will also affect members on White Iron Lake and the Kawishiwi River area.
Power for the 670 members affected by the outage is expected to be restored about 9:35 a.m.
